Do you possess the "Big C"?
What’s the Big C? Good question. It something I coined a while ago while training our Tae Kwon Do team.
The Big C refers to Commitment and Consistency.
It seems appropriate to talk about it since we’re in week two of the Olympics. As an Olympic athlete consistency is a must. Consistency and Commitment to training, competition and daily rituals are part of the formula for success at the world and Olympic levels.

So, do you have the “Big C” in your daily routine?
No, we can probably get away with a little more than what’s expected out of an Olympic athlete, but if we take their level of focus, determination commitment and consistency and put it towards goals, we can definitely achieve success.

A couple of things you need to remember.
First, you have to write down a goal. What do you want to accomplish? Is it weight loss, better health numbers (blood pressure, blood sugar, etc) or maybe a triathlon? It doesn’t matter what it is as long as it excites you and you are looking forward to getting to the end!
Second, there has to be a plan to get there. Simply having a goal written down isn’t good enough. There has to be some sort of plan. It doesn’t have to be the best or most thorough, but you need a written out plan.
Next, get started!
And finally, have the commitment and consistency to see your goal come to life.
Most people start strong, but lack the consistency to finish strong. Tough times come around and they look for any reason to quite or give up. The tougher the challenges will probably mean the better the reward!
Without consistent effort, consistent habits moving you closer to your goals and consistent mental toughness to except challenges and keep moving forward, nothing can be accomplished in sport or in life.

Start Strong, Finish Stronger!
