Have you picked your team?
Everyone needs a team. I don't mean a team for sports, but that could work. I mean a team of close friends and yes, family too, to help you achieve your goals? Friends are great to have, but if you can get a few family members or a significant other to participate too, it makes everything better!
I'm speaking from experience here. Stacy and I are extremely supportive of each others goals and it helps to have that support.
Especially when it comes to healthy living, dieting and exercising regularly a group of like minded goal focused teammates can help you overcome obstacles and achieve your fitness, nutrition and sports related goals!
It's tough to go it alone all the time. No, you don't need a workout buddy for all your workouts and classes or even have someone to do events like the Tough Mudder or triathlons with you, but it is great to have support and camaraderie. It makes the process of training fun and also keeps you accountable.
Having a team means you can't be the weak link. If you're slower because you didn't train as hard as everyone else, you've let yourself and your team down. That's great motivation to push through inner and personal barriers to accomplish big goals.
